We we started working with Linux, and the open source world a few decades ago it was clear to be the way in time. Given, though the compatibility layers weren’t what they are today – it was just a matter of time. We’ve still got a long way to go, but it’s a mostly equivalent functional environment – just need to push for the market share (on the wider OS battle) as always. And it’s clear that there’s a momentum shift on the horizon what with AI, the push to 11, and so on.

Particularly of interest here, though, is that though there are all the awesome wikis and forums and a touch of step-by-steps tutorials all scattered about, there’s also an interesting dearth of concentrated ready-to-digest resources for not only gaming in a Linux distro of some descript, but in general. Though it’s clear others have tried, there are many searches that have answers out there but no solid links.

We intend to help rectify this as a start.
